Ron 'Papa Smurf' Ringewold, Patrick 'Princess' Cameron, and Ron 'My Hand Hurts' L'Huillier made the trip down to Plainwell, MI in 'Big Red' to support Beckwith lifter Stephen 'Doc' Cohle. Josh Decker and John Mokma also drove down so we had plenty of help and support there for Doc!

Doc competed as a Master lifter in the 242 lb weight class. Doc is 56 years old. I am unsure of the division in USAPL.

Doc opened with 400 in the squat and got it with little effort. For second attempt he hit a nice 435, and on third he exploded out of the hole with a PR 450 and locked it out easily for two white lights!

In the Bench Press Doc opened with an easy 330. For second attempt he went 350, which was just as easy as his first attempt. Doc was after a PR and called for a 375 for a third attempt. It exploded to just short of lockout, but after a good struggle it was just a bit to much today.

Doc opened with 515 in the deadlift, which looked tough. For second attempt he chose a meet PR 555, which was a tough lift that he gutted out for three white lights. Doc passed on a third attempt.

This was a good day for Doc. He hit meet PR's in the squat (450), deadlift (555), and total (1355)!
