This was a well run meet. The trophy's were the best I have seen. The judging was strict, but fair, and the inclement weather did nothing to subdue the intensity of the approximatly 50 lifters, including a sizable, friendly, AND classy contingent from Canada.

There were some big weights attempted today including an easy RAW 562 lb. Bench Press by Sean O'Halloran from Canada! (Sean also volunteered to provide some much needed spotting in the squat -- which is a good thing as the young side spotters were clearly out of their element!), and a near miss deadlift by Josh Decker at 705. Josh weighed in at a light 190 lbs..

The highlight of the meet for me was Matt Marsiglia's 551.0 lb. deadlift at 198 lbs. Not bad for only deadlifting for six months!!! Seeing his reaction after laying it all on the line is what Powerlifting is all about. Also seeing Christine perform on the platform successfully in her first meet was great to see!

As of this writing I do not have specific meet details, weight lifted, totals etc., but will post them here as soon as they are given to me.
